Anna Ray & Hannah Robson

In a project informed by weaving histories, Anna Ray has been inspired by her Huguenot heritage to explore ideas for weaving. When the Huguenots fled persecution in France in the 18th Century, they brought their skills and trades with them, including silk weaving. Drawings and paintings exploring Huguenot motifs and imagery found within looms have been the starting point for jacquard design ideas.
